Prayer Zone

Prayer is at the centre of everything we do at St Leonard's.  Every Tuesday evening at 7.00pm we meet at church to pray together - for individuals, for our church, for the villages of our parish and for the needs of the world.  You are welcome to join us.  If you would like to request prayer for a particular person or situation, then please write this in the 'Requests for Prayer' book in the church.

'If two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.' Matthew 18:18

Healing Prayer

On the 3rd Sunday after the morning service, two healing ministers are available to pray with anyone wanting prayer.

Tearfund's Global poverty prayer chain

'There is a time for everything. A time to kneel and a time to stand, a time to pray and a time to talk. But there is never a time to look the other way. There is never a time to ignore the truth. There is never a time to turn our back on suffering and injustice.'

'The local church is the hope of the world' - Bill Hybels.

So Tearfund is inviting you to join a Global poverty prayer chain, with Christians and churches around the world, in one plea to God.

For what? For 50 million people to overcome poverty. For the church to rise up and make a difference. For you and me to be part of the miracle.  Link:

Prayers

A Simple Prayer in Troubled Times
God of love,
turn our hearts to your ways;
and give us peace.
Amen.

A Child's Prayer
Lord in heaven,
please listen to all those
who are praying to you now.
Those who are sad and crying,
those who have lost friends and family.
Those who are alone and frightened.
Help them to remember,
that you are there and you are listening.
in Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
