Children and Young People
Children and young people are welcomed and valued as an important part of our church community...
They are welcome at all our services. Our 11am services are either a Family Service (see below) or there is Sunday Club for children aged around 3 and above.  Children and young people also take part in our worship as welcomers, readers, leading the prayers, operating puppets as well as being part of the singing group & music group.  Children are welcome to receive communion once they reach the age of 7 and if their parents so wish.  Speak to Margaret (698410) if you would like your child to be involved in the preparation classes.
Family Services
On the first Sunday in the month there is a special Family Service at 11am which is an informal service where children are encouraged to take part.
There are also family services on special days like Mothering Sunday etc at the normal service time of 11am.

Younger Children

Children of all ages are welcome at all our services.  Because younger chldren do sometimes get a bit restless sitting still, there is a special corner in the church set aside for the ‘littlest’ ones. This is a carpeted area with lots of toys, books and paper & crayons with a small table & chairs.

During communion services there are 'communion boxes' to help them understand what is happening.

Sunday Club

For children aged around 3 and above during the other 11am services there is Sunday Club. Everyone meets in church together for the first part which includes an all-age talk and song/prayer and then the children go with their leaders for their own activities.
Young people continue to take part in Sunday Club during the Sunday services as long as they wish to.  Others choose to stay in church and some will help with the younger chidren.
